Research

Traveling nail technicians are on the move to their clients’ homes during workdays.

Traveling nail technicians have no personal workspace, since they go from client to client in their homes instead of a designated salon. With this, they have to bring along their supplies, tools, and materials. This project dives into that but also thinking about how to carry another essential tool they use: an oil diffuser.

KEY INSIGHTS

01

COMMUTE

Traveling nail technicians drive to their locations whether it’s by car, public transport, or vehicle service.

02

NEW ENVIRONMENTS

Clients’ homes are the salons, meaning different environments, table space, etc.

03

CARRYING BAG

Nail technicians have to bring multiple supplies with them.

THE OPPORTUNITY

How might I design a portable and stylish bag that can hold and organize nail supplies and tools?
